A passionate and ebullient performer, Valentin Kovalev joins the BCSO as it opens its 72nd concert season with Glazunov’s Saxophone Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s grand Fifth Symphony.

13-year-old cellist Elijah Song, winner of the 2024 Youth Concerto Competition, and high school musicians from the Central Bucks East band join the BCSO in its annual Family Concert—Sweet Suites and Musical Treats.

Praised for his “rhetorical grandeur, romantic warmth, and surefire technique,” Steinway Artist Christopher Goodpasture joins the BCSO in a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 (“Emperor”). Also appearing on the program is Sibelius’ evocative Second Symphony.

Maestro José Luis Domínguez and the BCSO present the greatest hits from the Silver Screen, including exhilarating film music by John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer…and more!

Noted for his “high-voltage focus” and “formidable technique,” cellist Jonathan Swensen joins the BCSO in a performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto. Also featured on the program is Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony.
