Zachary Fung is an 8th grade student at Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School. He started learning the piano at age 4 and cello at age 9. He has been studying the Cello with Sarah Yoon. Currently, Zachary is a member of Youth Chamber Orchestra and String Trio of Temple Music Prep, Center for Gifted Young Musician, Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra (PYAO), and Piano Trio in Settlement Music School. Previously, he was also a member of Philadelphia Sinfonia Players.

In 2013, he won the Yocum Piano Competition, and was also a member of the National Guild of Piano for several years. Recently, Zachary received honorable mention by the Kennett Symphony of Chester County Junior Competition. This summer, he will be attending Eastern Music Festival. Apart from playing the Cello, Zachary also likes to compose, write poetry, read and swim.
